How it works

Some links on the site go to partners that pay us a commission when you buy something or sign up after clicking. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not. Our partners include:

• Lab-testing services, such as direct-to-consumer blood-test providers.
• Telehealth clinics that prescribe testosterone-related treatment, but only ones we have gone through ourselves.
• Amazon, for equipment, books and a small number of supplements. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Every article carries a disclosure near the top of the page.

The rules we follow

1. Research first, links second. Every article is written from primary sources before we look at whether any product or service fits it. If nothing fits, the article has no affiliate links.
2. We recommend what’s right, not what pays. We tell every reader to test before treating, even though a lab test pays us less than a clinic signup. When the best option is free (losing weight, getting a sleep study, drinking less), we say so, and it pays us nothing.
3. No link without first-hand review. We don’t link to a telehealth clinic until the author has gone through its intake himself.
4. Failures get published too. If a provider fails our vetting standard, we can still write about it, and the review says which standard it failed. It just doesn’t get an affiliate link.
5. No paid placement. Nobody can pay to be reviewed, ranked or included. Partners never see a review before it’s published.
6. Supplements meet a testing bar. We link only to supplements carrying the USP Verified or NSF Certified for Sport mark, and only from the page that reviews the evidence for that ingredient.
7. We never link to gray-market sellers of prescription drugs, including “research use only” peptide sites.
